The certified DS4000 Technical professional can install, configure
and maintain an IBM DS4000 system to provide outstanding customer
satisfaction. This certified individual can perform basic
rack-and-stack cabling, firmware upgrades, detailed configuration, storage
partitioning setup, copy services, replication services, device intermix,
problem determination, performance monitoring and data migration without
assistance.
Advanced skills
such as detailed system design, solution architecting and advanced performance
tuning are not included in this test.

- Three years providing technical support for IBM
storage systems in multiple open systems environments including AIX, Linux,
UNIX and/or Windows
- Two years experience supporting DS4000
systems
- One year DS4000 installation experience
