An IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert - System Storage 2009 is an individual who has demonstrated a higher level of technical understanding and experience both in breadth and depth across multiple areas of the System Storage product portfolio.
To attain the IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert - System Storage 2009 certification, candidates must pass four tests: - Two mandatory tests
- Two elective tests

- Minimum two years experience providing technical support for IBM storage products
- Experience in multiple Open Systems platforms, and other skills recommended for test 208
- Experience with TotalStorage Productivity Center, and other skills recommended for test 907
- Experience relevant to the two elective tests selected to complete certification requirements (i.e., high-end disk products, high-end tape products, NAS/SAN products, DS4000, TSM 5.4)
- Ability to work independently and effectively in complex environments

If taking the high-end disk tests, please note that only one high-end disk test can be counted toward the elective test total -- either test 000-113 or 000-114, but not both. If taking the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager tests, please note that only one can counted toward the elective test total -- either test 000-433 or 000-899 or 000-025.
