IBM Certified Specialist -- System x High Performance Servers


Job Role Description / Target Audience

This certification validates the skills required to plan, design, install, configure, and maintain IBM High Performance servers. The IBM Certified Specialist will provide solution design and implementation support. This certified person will also work to provide longer-term technical support activities including problem solving and resolution. 

To attain the IBM Certified Specialist - System x High Performance Servers certification, candidates must pass 1 test.


Recommended Prerequisite Skills

  • 12 months of experience with IBM BladeCenter configuration and implementation 
  • Operating System Knowledge (Microsoft Windows Server 2000 or 2003, Linux, AIX, VMware) 
  • Knowledge of Operating System deployment strategies 
  • Knowledge of Networking/SAN connectivity 
  • Knowledge of IBM BladeCenter Module Options 
  • Experience with IBM Director 
  • Experience with Datacenter design and capacity planning
