Job Role Description / Target Audience
Note: This certification will be withdrawn on 12/31/2012. The most current certification is: IBM Certified Advanced Database Administrator - DB2 9.7 for Linux, UNIX and Windows
An IBM Certified Advanced Database Administrator is the lead DBA for the DB2 products on one or more of the following platforms: Linux, UNIX (including AIX, HP-UX, and Sun Solaris), and Windows. This individual has extensive experience as a DBA and extensive knowledge of DB2 9. This person is capable of performing the advanced tasks such as performance, high availability, security and networking that are required.
To attain the IBM Certified Advanced Database Administrator - DB2 9 Linux, UNIX and Windows Certification candidates must possess the skills outlined under Recommended Prerequisite Skills below and pass 3 tests. Recommended Prerequisite Skills

Significant experience as a senior Database Administrator on DB2 9 for Linux, UNIX, or Windows.

This certification has 2 paths.
Path 1 requires 3 tests:
1. 1 of the following:
Test 700 - DB2 V8.1 Family Fundamentals
Test 730 - DB2 9 Family Fundamentals
2. Test 731 - DB2 9 DBA for Linux UNIX and Windows
3. Test 734 - DB2 9 Advanced Database Administrator for Linux UNIX and Windows
Path 2 requires 4 tests:
1. 1 of the following:
Test 700 - DB2 V8.1 Family Fundamentals
Test 730 - DB2 9 Family Fundamentals
2. Test 701 - DB2 V8.1 for Linux UNIX and Windows Database Administration
3. Test 736 - DB2 9 Database Administrator for Linux UNIX and Windows Upgrade
4. Test 734 - DB2 9 Advanced Database Administrator for Linux UNIX and Windows
