The IBM Certified System Administrator - System i v5.07.09 is an
individual who performs complex operations and administrative tasks, directs
system operators in more complex tasks, plans for and installs operating system
upgrades, and plans and prepares for hardware
maintenance.

this certification is: - System i
Operators and Administrators with 1-2 years of job experience, seeking a
credential to validate skills and augment promotion possibilities or hiring
qualifications
- Students in a course of study designed to
deliver System Administration skills to the level that the candidate, on
completion of coursework, has sufficient academic and lab experience to meet
the criteria of a minimally qualified certification candidate
- IBM and Business Partner personnel in a position to support customers at any
level of system operations and administration, or to support internal
systems
