IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert - System i Solutions

The Certified Advanced Technical Expert - System i Solutions will have a minimum of two to three years core System i functional experience in addition to deep technical experience with emerging or strategic workloads and functions. This experience includes two job roles: - Analyzing customer business and technical requirements and needs, designing System i solutions, and planning the implementation of the solution.
- Installing, integrating, implementing, and supporting multiple varieties of System i-based solutions.
The target audience for this certification is technical personnel: System i Business Partners, IBM System i personnel such as FTSS and ATS, and Customers.

Recommended experience: - Minimum of two to three years core System i functional experience (must be able to work with current hardware and software).
- Technical experience including designing, installing, integrating, implementing, and supporting multiple varieties of System i based solutions. (For example, experience consisting of taking a college course on System i would not be sufficient.)
- Has performed System i design for at least one year. This experience includes participating in at least 10 to 20 simple and complex design opportunities, including working with other Designers in those design opportunities.
- Supports the i5/OS operating system as well as including Microsoft Windows, AIX, and Linux.
Recommended knowledge: - Has substantial understanding of customer business requirements and how System i solutions can meet those requirements.
- Has practical applied knowledge in certain key technical areas such as Windows integration, iSCSI, and Linux.
