The IBM  Certified Specialist - System p Technical Sales Support works with customers to gather customer requirements and represent IBM System p to the customer-s technical team. This specialist takes a consultative approach to support sales, and he or she trains customers and mentors peers in all aspects of the System p server line. 

This specialist has detailed technical knowledge about the IBM  System p and pSeries products, technologies, and solutions, as well as the skills to architect solutions to meet customer requirements. This specialist can perform competitive analyses, translate technical requirements into customer solutions, solve technical problems, and describe System p and pSeries strategy and solutions, and business trends and directions. 


Recommended Skills



  • At least three years of experience in the Information Technology industry 
  • At least one year experience working with the IBM System p brand
  • Knowledgeable in IBM practices and procedures, including tools, contacts, and resources
