Scapa Technologies is an advanced member of IBM PartnerWorld® and
works closely with IBM in the Eclipse Foundation, specifically with regard
to the ongoing development of the Test & Performance Tools Platform
(TPTP) project. The TPTP project brings together a number of leading IT
companies, including Intel, IBM, Computer Associates, Compuware and SAP.
Scapa Technologies has committed significant resource to the TPTP project
and our CEO, Dr. Michael Norman, leads the Testing Tools project within
TPTP.
IBM supported the initial development of our technology’s connectivity
to thin client environments, and our technology has been validated through
the Ready for WebSphere Studio accreditation program.
“Scapa Test and Performance Platform 3.1 is an applications performance
testing diagnosis and monitoring product, typically applied in integration
and rollout of mid-to-large scale systems. We are using Autonomic Computing
technologies to allow systems integrators to automate tuning and configuration
during rollout and into production, typically over ISV applications to
which source code isn't available. We use standards-based instrumentation
including, for example, JavaTM Management Extensions (JMX) and Common
Base Event (CBE), and we leverage the Open Source Eclipse Test and Performance
Tools Platform, to which we also contribute. Scapa Test and Performance
Platform 3.1 is able to generate and consume events in the CBE format.”
- Dr. Michael Norman, CEO, Scapa Technologies
