                      SENTRY

Forum Systems, Inc. solution
Forum XWALL and SENTRY collect detailed logs and incident alerts in the event of attacks and forward them to the IBM Autonomic Computing Common Base Event for analysis. By analyzing these logs an attack can be identified and new security policies defined and pushed down to the Forum solution to enforce from the IBM Autonomic Computing Integrated Solutions Console and Autonomic Management Engine. This creates a ‘closed loop’ and delivers automatic remediation. Since many Web service applications are machine-to-machine communications, this ability to respond to a new attack--automatically without any human intervention--is essential in avoiding application downtime.
