These tools and technologies can help you add autonomic features to your existing applications and bring your entire system a step closer to self-managing.

Build to Manage Toolkit for Problem Determination
Seamlessly enable your solutions with manageability. The IBM Build to Manage™ Toolkit for Problem Determination enables developers, ISVs, and solution providers to rapidly apply management standards, from within existing development platforms, without having to become experts in operations.
Autonomic Computing Catalog - OPAL
The OPAL Autonomic Computing Catalog's objective is to provide a comprehensive online listing of product extensions from IBM and IBM Business Partners leveraging autonomic computing technologies and standards. It initially contains Event Producers, such as adapters providing output in the Common Base Event format as well as Event Consumers such as tooling able to process input in the Common Base Event format. The Common Base Event format is IBM's initial implementation of the WSDM Event Format.
Autonomic Computing Blueprint (2.84MB)
Comprehensive information on the latest advances in the autonomic computing architecture and how it can be applied to achieve real business value.
Agent Building and Learning Environment (ABLE)
A Java framework, component library, and productivity tool kit for building intelligent agents using machine learning and reasoning..
Best Practices for the Common Base Event and Common Event Infrastructure (3.50MB)
Guidelines for Using IBM's Initial Implementation of theWSDM Event Format.
BtM puts you in control
Simplify life for developers and operations managers. The open source Build-to-Manage (BtM) Toolkits make it easy for developers to add manageability to distributed Java applications.
Business Workload Manager Prototype
A technology that provides the basis for instrumentation of applications in support of autonomic management; demo also available.
Emerging Technologies Toolkit
The Emerging Technologies Toolkit (ETTK) is a collection of technologies from IBM's software development and research labs that have special relevance to IBM's emerging software strategy. An ETTK technology indicates that IBM has attached importance to the emerging technology area, and is dedicated to giving it appropriate incubation and exposure.
IBM Performance Optimization Toolkit
This tool identifies the root cause of poor performance observed during a test by round-trip response time decomposition and is an important part of effective IT lifecycle management.
Tivoli Monitoring Resource Model Builder
A programming tool for creating, modifying, debugging, and packaging resource models for use with IBM Tivoli Monitoring products.
