Test for accessibility using available tools.
Rationale
Accessibility must be included as part of the product test cycle to ensure people with disabilities can use the software. After the software has been created, check the product to ensure that it complies with accessibility requirements. Several techniques are available to verify that the software is accessible to people with disabilities. See the individual checkpoints for specific tests for each checkpoint.
Techniques
Each checkpoint in the IBM Software Accessibility Checklist contains both development techniques and test techniques. To comply with this checkpoint (Software Checkpoint 6.1), all of the testing techniques documented in each checkpoint must be employed.
To complete the required testing, view each checkpoint page linked from the IBM Software Accessibility Checklist. On each checkpoint page, view the Testing section, and perform the testing steps as documented. Every checkpoint must be successfully met in order to pass this final test checkpoint.
