Lotus Notes application accessibility checklist changes


IBM periodically reviews these accessibility checklists and techniques. The checklists and techniques are updated to address new requirements identified during the review or they are updated to address new accessibility regulations and legislation. The purpose of this document is to track the changes made during updates.

  • Removed checkpoints that were required for Web-only Notes applications (1.2 Skip links, 6.1 Applets, 6.2 Scripts, 6.3, CSS and 6.4 HTML). This completes the transition started in 2007 to make the Notes Accessibility Checklist applicable only for Notes Client applications. Updated examples for Field labels (5.2). Updated guidance for tables (5.5); simple tables are allowed, definition provided. Updates to improve and harmonize format with other checklists.
